Dellux (born Elliot Brussalis, on 1st May 1995) is a multi-genre producer from Wales. He discovered his passion for music when he first discovered Reason 3 aged 13. It wasn't long until his beats had their own signature 'style' to them, instantly recognizable to his friends.
His insatiable appetite for electronic dance music led him to Newport City Radio, who at age 14, gave him his own slot, which quickly became the most listened to show on the station. He was quickly being considered as somewhat of a tastemaker in his local community which lead to live sets with DJs such as Noisia, Spor and Lynx before being approached by the Cardiff grime / metal collective, Astroid Boys.
Dellux started his journey as producer for the Astroid Boys aged 16, which has seen him tour relentlessly with acts as diverse as Lethal Bizzle, Trash Talk, Professor Green and Deez Nuts as well as festivals all over the world. Dellux’s production combined with hard rock instruments and incredible vocal work from frontmen, Traxx and Benji has been widely accepted in both the grime and hip-hop world as well as the metal and hardcore scene. Being respected by such vastly opposing audiences is a unique prospect and it’s avoidance in conforming is an ethos that Dellux holds with him in his solo work.
Fast forward 3 years of pure graft and Dellux released his track Missing U onto the world, pricking up the ears of all who listened and focusing attention on this fresh sounding and fresh faced youngster. The track was picked up by Mister Jam and Radio 1 before being placed in Noisey’s Best of Feb 2015 playlist.
The track was circulating well, eventually landing on the desk of the prestigious MTA Records owned by electronic pioneers, Chase & Status. Being received with open arms, a feature on their autumn sampler lead to the label signing who for many consider one of the most original and exciting young producers in the UK.
Dellux has been locked away for majority of 2015 putting the final touches to his Debut EP, Dreamer which will be dropping early 2016.
